Mr. Olesiak has been an Investment Partner with Mitsui & Co. Venture Partners, Inc. (MCVP), a venture capital firm since 2004. Mr. Olesiak is focused on investments in the healthcare space and is currently or has been involved in MCVP’s investments in Actimis, Biolex, Cell BioSciences, Cylene, and Panacos (NASDAQ: PANC). Previously, Mr. Olesiak was a Director with Cambridge Pharma Consultancy (now part of IMS Health) where he worked with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to address issues of market access for new therapeutics, to ensure consideration of the commercial value of products in strategic planning and to guide development of pricing and reimbursement strategies specific to the dynamics of different country markets. Prior to joining Cambridge in 1998, Mr. Olesiak spent close to 10 years in Japan, initially with Genzyme Japan KK and later with SRL Inc. During his tenure in Japan his responsibilities spanned business development, corporate strategy, and corporate partnering. Mr. Olesiak is a cum laude graduate in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Cornell University.
